Who you are

You love creating and executing plans and strategies in order to deliver new features and updates for products. You are confident in managing expectations and lead internal product delivery teams to successfully execute releases on time, within scope, and on budget. Not only do you clearly understand requirements, you are able to hold internal stakeholders accountable. 

What you’ll be doing on the Project Engagement Team

  • Product Planning
    • Partner with Platform Leadership to determine the upcoming features to develop in the product and the priority order of those features
    • Work with engineering leadership on resource scheduling  
    • Prioritize open issues for resolution
    • Lead weekly recap meetings and prepare the development team for upcoming work
  • Development Management
    • Lead feature kickoff meetings, to provide clarity on the feature requirements and set up the development team for success 
    • Track progress updates from the development team
    • Remove blockers and answer questions for the development team
    • Stay up-to-date with development decisions being made
  • Release Planning
    • Write release notes and ensure all requirements are met for upcoming releases
    • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure testing is completed and prioritize issues to be corrected prior to release
    • Communicate upcoming releases with the Customer Success Management team to ensure clients are setup for success with new features and enhancements
  • Feature Scoping
    • Partner with the Product Owner, Customer Success Manager, and Strategist to shape ideas and features for the platform
    • Understand the core customer need for features in the development pipeline
    • Write Pitch document outlining the requirements and scope of features for development
    • Partner with the development team to ensure Pitches contain the right amount of detail 
  • Process Improvement
    • Recommend process improvements to the Engineering Leadership and Product Leadership teams
    • Implement process improvements with developers and Engineer Leadership team
    • Lead recurring retrospectives and ensure follow through on action items 

Talents we’re looking for

  • Experience managing software product development, ideally in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment
  • High-degree of technical knowledge. Prior development experience is not required, just a keen understanding of the technical pieces and parts of software development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and obsessively tidy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High degree of emotional intelligence
  • Service-oriented
  • Ability to think critically
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to anticipate problems and create solutions
  • Experience working on complex projects with many moving parts and deliverables
